Hello let's see if this work's, this is the first time ive written on my blog and i hope it work's, im new to this so please bare with me,
ok so last friday me hubby and our son went down to cornwall from friday evening and came home wednesday nite, when we got there friday we got the tent set up and the beds were blown up and every thing was set up, some black clouds came over and we thought are we going to get this set up before the heavens open, thank god we did as we had the worst thunderstorn i have ever seen and the lightning was terrible, then came the rain and boy did it rain, we thought now do we stay in the tent or go and get some food as we hadnt eaten and we needed some shopping, so off we went, we stopped in Aldis, got some food then went and had fish and chips and sat in the car eating while the rain was lashing down, and the fish and chips were amazing, we were worried that the tent was going to be flooded by the time we got back but to our surprise everything was ok apart from the wind driving the rain in throu the side zip but it wasnt to bad so we all went to bed, i must admit i didnt sleep very well at all as the rain was coming down most of the nite, then this will make you laugh 3am we had to re blow up the air bed as it had gone down for some reason, thank god we had an electric pump, then back to sleep well did sleep for a few hours, up early and i cooked a lovely breakfast and even thou it was still raining we went down to St Austal to the cornish market, jamie had some new shoes, and gra had some new books and i had a lovely little cardigan, so we then went for a drive, and then back to the tent, so all in all it was a lovely day,
Then sunday we met up with some friends from london who were down staying in a cottage for 2 weeks, it was the lovely maria clarke and they had come down on the sat and in the early hours of the morning she was rushed to derriford hospital as she was having problems with her breathing, they let her out sunday afternoon and even thou she was poorly we were invited over to see them, and we had such a lovely afternoon, the rain was hammering down and even thou we had just met them then said there is no way you are going back to the tent, so we ended up staying with them, then monday we spent the whole day with them and maria was showing me some tips on how to colour with my new spectrum noirs, and she gave me a make over, what a smashing ladie she is, we then stayed for tea and went back to the tent about 10pm, jamie went straight to bed and me and gra played cards for a while,
then on the tuesday we went to crealy as the weather was better, we had a few showers but they were more like drizzle, then we went back to the cottage with them and michael made a lovely chilli and then back to the tent that evening late again lol
on the wednesday we had to pack up so we did that and gra and jamie had gone down to the showers, while i was sorting some bits, this is so funny but wasnt funny at the time, i was packing one of the boxes up and we had bought some cans of shandy well i put them in the box and dropped the last one, well all of a sudden i was being sprayed with shandy, so i grabbed it from the box and threw it out the tent but it didnt go rite out, i was being showerd by shandy and so was the tent, i was in such a flap, finally got hold of the can and threw it rite out of the tent and it just kepted spaying, i stank of shandy and my hair was soaked but i did see the funny side of it in the end lol Graham thought it was so funny when he got back from the showers and there was me dripping wet, then after we were all packed up we went up to see maria as it was the last day, we spent the day talking, colouring and she had given me a make over every day we saw each other, it was lovely and we took lots of photos, then 7.15 it was time for us to go home as we had to drive back to Newton Abbot, and then we had all the unpacking to do yuk, got everything in from the car and just left it in the dining room and i sorted everything out of the next few days,
I didnt want graham to go back to work and he didnt want to go but things have to go back to normal, all in all it was a lovely break away and it was good to be back home to see the kids and our doggies,
now lets hope i can get back to doing some crafting as missed doing it while i was away, will post again soon and hope i havent board you all xx
